MBA franchise expert Kevin B. Murphy, known in the
industry as Mr. Franchise, is an international franchise expert, former franchise owner and San Francisco franchise
attorney. Drawing on three decades of franchise industry experience and a law practice restricted to 100% franchise law, Mr. Franchise is retained to review documents, do a case analysis and develop effective and successful legal strategies in franchise lawsuits. Three decades of
successful consulting and
advice, as well as franchise expert witness deposition and trial testimony in litigation, arbitration and disputes covering all aspects of a franchise
relationship, license agreements, franchise agreements, franchise disclosure documents, custom, practice and standard of care in the franchise industry, contracts of sale, regulatory compliance, franchise misrepresentations, state registration procedures, earnings claims, territorial encroachment, disguised franchises, marketing materials, advertising funds, intellectual property, operations manuals, training programs, support
issues and organizational development.
In lawsuits, Mr. Murphy's extensive franchise industry
background, coupled with his teaching skills and successful franchise ownership experience, create a most favorable

with litigation attorneys, he develops arguments and
strategic approaches that are quoted verbatim by arbitrators in
reaching their decision. Beginning in 1990 in San Francisco Superior Court, Mr. Murphy has qualified and testified as a
franchise expert witness in courts as well as numerous arbitration
proceedings on a variety of franchise issues.
In consulting with emerging and existing franchise companies as well as individuals making franchise investments, Mr. Murphy brings a wealth of proactive strategies and
techniques, designed to make franchise programs effective and avoid future litigation difficulties.
Mr. Murphy's experience as a past franchise owner of a successful business gives him a unique and balanced perspective about a franchise relationship. Particularly in
